My avionik is upgraded so vacuum pump is not needed anymore…except for those speed brakes. Changed the vacuum pump last year to a brand new, but it just broke again for its only purpose, to serve the speed brake. I can still use the standby vacuum pump and think this will be the case for a time. However, I will not install another vacuum pump, I know there’s speed brakes that is electrical, but do I need a complete set when I already have them? There is no upgrade that is available?
When I purchased the plane I asked if they were electrical and got positive answer, but they aren’t…
