Looking forward to finding out what parts Mooney will make that we currently need to go to Lasar or plane plastics for.

    Great question Albert…

I have a parts question as well for the short and mid bodies…

The air intake for many Mooneys is a rubber coated fabric accordion that is unable to last as well as it could/should…

A change to modern materials may be quite helpful…

There is a thread discussing this currently with input from a guy that makes plane parts and automotive parts of this type…

    https://mooneyspace.com/topic/37131-600115-005-intake-duct/

See if there is room in the project list for this one…   wear holes allow for dirt to skip past the filter between annual inspections…

My old M20C also had this challenge back in the day…

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic…

    Best regards,

Thank You for the inquiry’s – I will pass on the information about the 600115 Duct over to Engineering. Currently these are made by an approved vendor and do require a minimum quantity before making them.

We always recommend all parts be OEM unless specified by Support/Engineering. Contact an Authorized Mooney Service Center or email technicalsupport@mooney.com if you have any questions about parts availability.

    Best Regards, Frank
