Randy Mardis is a professional photographer, so he knows a thing or two about aesthetic beauty. The right combination of lighting, balance, composition and more – there’s a lot that goes into the perfect shot. Just like there’s a lot that goes into the perfect plane. And Randy has an eye for both. 

“From childhood, when my dad used to take me up on aerobatic flights, I learned what the word ‘performance’ really meant,” says Randy. “So years later, when I was ready to buy my own plane, I knew it had to be a Mooney.”

He’s since been the proud owner of three Mooneys, including his newest baby: an Ovation 2GX . Since his business frequently takes him around the country, he appreciates the industry-leading speed and performance only a Mooney can deliver.

“My wife and I are constantly traveling back and forth. Kansas. Texas. And plenty of other places. Commercial travel isn’t for me. I love being able to bypass all the headaches and hassles. I get in my plane, and I get there fast.”

In his spare time, Randy is also an avid biker, runner and family man. In fact, he sees his Mooney as part of the family. It’s a lifestyle anyone would call picture perfect.
