Dr. Dave Craddock Takes Delivery of 1st Acclaim Type S

Dave & Angelyn Craddock of Kewanee, Illinois had an exciting day on April 3, 2008. They were not only presented with the first Mooney Acclaim Type S, but were suprised to learn that it was also the 100th Acclaim ever built. Ironically, Dave also bought the 100th Ovation back in 2001. "That's the best you could ever feel buying a new airplane," recalls Craddock, a dentist, of his delivery experience in 2001. He had no idea that he would be able to repeat the experience again.

The delivery took place at the Mooney factory in Kerrville, Texas, where over 100 employees were on hand to applaud the new owners and President Dennis Ferguson handed them the keys. It was planned as a surprise for the Craddocks as the doors to the delivery hangar were opened and the large group of factory workers, executives and the press were inside surrounding the airplane with proud smiles on their faces.

"It's pretty overwhelming that we are buying the fastest Mooney ever built. That's saying a lot!"
