    • How safe is a Mooney?

    • Why are your aircraft in such demand?
      • Pilots recognize the class leading speed, efficiency, and safety, along with the Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite. The G1000 digitally depicts primary flight, navigation, communication, terrain, traffic, weather, engine and sensor data on two 10.4-inch, high-definition LCDs.   • Warranty FAQ
    • How long is the Mooney factory warranty?
      • The Mooney International factory warranty on the airframe and Mooney manufactured parts is 36 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first.
    • Is the Mooney warranty “Spinner to Tail” coverage?
      • The warranty covers everything that is manufactured by Mooney International and excludes vendor supplied equipment. These are covered under separate vendor warranties.
    • Do I have to take my airplane to a “Mooney Authorized Service Center” for warranty repairs?
      • Yes, all warranty work must be preformed by a Mooney Authorized Service Center.
    • Does the Mooney factory warranty cover brakes, tires, filters, or paint?
      • The warranty does not cover expendable items or touch up paint due to normal use or damage.
    • What if I have a question concerning the warranty of my airplane?

    • Where do I find information on airworthiness directives (ADs) that affect my airplane?
      • Your local service center will have a current library of AD listings or you can find them on the FAA website.
    • How can I reach the Factory Service Center to schedule maintenance on my airplane?
      • Currently, there is no Factory Service Center. Click HERE to view the list of our Mooney Service Centers.
    • What is Mooney International or Garmin doing about ADS-B and S-TEC/WAAS for my airplane?
      • Mooney International does have a certification program that will start approximately late 2nd quarter. We will be using a company owned Ovation for the certification program. After FAA approval all S-TEC autopilot and G1000 equipped aircraft will be eligible for upgrades to ADS-B out and WAAS upgrades including all vertical approach modes. We anticipate to receive approval in approximately late 3rd quarter. At this time we will then offer a retrofit kit for the mentioned aircraft. Many owners of these aircraft are understandably concerned with this issue, but in no way have we forgotten you owners of these aircraft. We will issue a press release when the program is complete. Mooney International will also post the release to this website. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
  • Service Centers FAQ
    • How many Authorized Mooney Service Centers are there?
      • Although the number is always changing, there will always be approximately 40 Authorized Mooney Service Centers in North America.
    • Are technicians at the Mooney Service Centers required to have special training?
      • Yes, one of the terms and conditions of being an Authorized Mooney Service Center is that the service centers are required to expose their technicians to factory training techniques and procedures.
    • What were the attending technicians trained on?
      • Mooney annual inspection procedures, engine and power plant set-up procedures, flight control rigging, landing gear rigging, Garmin G-1000 installation, troubleshooting and service techniques as well as AMSAFE seat belt installation and troubleshooting.
    • Does having my Mooney serviced at a Authorized Service Center increase the value of my aircraft?
      • Yes, having your aircraft maintained at an Authorized Mooney Service Center is a great way to protect the value of your investment. Some price valuation guides add up to an additional $2,000.00 to the retail value of the aircraft for an aircraft maintained at an Authorized Mooney Service Center.
    • What types of repairs do Authorized Mooney Service Centers perform?
      • Mooney Service Centers perform all routine maintenance functions such as annual inspections, 50-and 100-hour inspections and any inspections required by manufacturers of installed components on the aircraft. In addition to these maintenance functions, a Mooney Service Center is trained to comply with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins. Also, should a Mooney aircraft experience damage, Mooney Service Centers are uniquely qualified to repair the damage and return the aircraft to its original condition.
    • Does Mooney International have a Factory Service Center?
      • Currently No, Mooney is working with the FAA on the recertification process in Kerrville, Texas, and should be up and running Q3:2017.
