Director Structural Analysis

The Director of Structural Analysis will call upon his extensive engineering experience to lead the structural analysis team in support of Mooney Airplane Company goals.  The duties include responsibility for design guidance and structural substantiation of all product design, certification, manufacturing liaison and product support.    This position includes the responsibilities for work force requirements, consultant coordination and establishing engineering practices and processes needed to support the job tasks.  The Director of Structural Analysis will directly report to the Vice President of Engineering.

MUST HAVE:

·Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft structural analysis and substantiation
·Structural analysis experience should primarily be focused around airplane primary structures (e.g. wing, fuselage and empennage)
·Applicant must have the experience and capability to produce and oversee structural compliance analyses and reports capable of meeting aircraft development and certification requirements.
·Familiarization and working knowledge of FAA (or similar DOD) regulations
·Applicant must have the proven ability to produce structural compliance plans and reports that meet company and regulatory authority requirements
·Proven ability to manage, develop and post-process NASTRAN FEA models and results
·Previous management and/or team leadership experience is highly desired including responsibilities for work force planning and budgeting
·Working knowledge of CATIA V5
·Highly proficient computer skills including MS Office products and a Product Data Manager (PDM) interfacing to CATIA V5
·A good working knowledge of continued airworthiness requirements in the areas of fatigue and damage tolerance
·Master model and electronic drawing design definition experience and control through the use of a PDM.

Experience with design to build product structure and design for manufacturability
·15+ years of experience in aircraft analysis and substantiation
·FAA Structures DER Part 23 and/or 25
·Expertise in the areas of fatigue and damage tolerance
·Experience with aircraft full-scale and component static and fatigue testing
·Software expertise with  MSC/Patran, MathCad and MS Excel

The Director of Aircraft Structures and Integration will call upon his extensive engineering experience to lead the aircraft structures design and integration team in support of Mooney Airplane Company goals.  The duties include product design, certification, manufacturing liaison and product support.  In addition, this individual is responsible for all aspects of aircraft systems physical integration; this includes integrating the design output of the various aircraft systems engineers into an integrated airplane.  This position includes the responsibilities for work force requirements, consultant coordination and establishing engineering practices and processes needed to support the job tasks.  The Director of Aircraft Structures and Integration will directly report to the Vice President of Engineering.

MUST HAVE:

·Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft design and integration

The Manager of Materials and Processes will call upon his extensive engineering experience to lead the engineering and manufacturing efforts with respect to materials and processes (M&P) in support of Mooney Airplane Company goals.  The duties include responsibility for design guidance and M&P documentation and substantiation of all product design, certification, manufacturing liaison and product support efforts.  This position includes the responsibilities for work force requirements, consultant coordination and establishing engineering practices and processes needed to support the job tasks.  The Manager of Materials and Processes will directly report to the Vice President of Engineering.

MUST HAVE:

·Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft materials and processes engineering including metals and composites
·Applicant must have the experience and capability to produce and oversee M&P compliance analyses and reports capable of meeting aircraft development and certification requirements.
·Must have proven excellence in the documentation and reviewing of reports, processes and specifications
·Familiarization and working knowledge of FAA (or similar DOD) regulations
·Highly proficient computer skills including MS Office products and a Product Data Manager (PDM) interfacing to CATIA V5
·A good working knowledge of continued airworthiness requirements with respect to materials and processes
·Experience with design to build product structure and design for manufacturability
·Previous experience with supporting MRB liaison activities

Laboratory experience in supporting aircraft materials and processes development and qualification including destructive and non-destructive investigations

·15+ years of experience in aircraft M&P
·Previous management and/or team leadership experience is highly desired including responsibilities for work force planning and budgeting

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will provide technical support for the manufacture, assembly and procurement of a wide variety of aerospace components and assemblies. This support role will include investigating technical issues to root cause and troubleshooting, processes, parts and methods. The ME will participate as both member and leader in Continuous Improvement Teams for specific products to resolve problems and improve process and product performance.

The ME will have demonstrated experience in the application of lean manufacturing principals.  Responsible for performing a variety of engineering work in planning manufacturing processes, leading Lean Manufacturing, working with other disciplines in the development and application of systems to increase production quality, efficiency, or volume.

As new products are introduced, the ME will participate in design reviews to ensure lessons learned in production are incorporated into new designs. The ME will interface with Product Design Engineering, Suppliers, and personnel from all Manufacturing Operations departments.

 

Avionics Tech

Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of simple electrical circuits such as the landing gear or external lighting circuits. Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical systems such as the autopilot or traffic and weather systems. Set up, use and analyze data gathered from test equipment. Perform avionics upgrades such as autopilot installation. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience with aircraft electrical and / or avionics systems. Prefer specific knowledge of the later model M20 series avionics and electrical systems and experience with those systems will receive special consideration.
$14.50 - $22.00 hour

Buyer – Purchasing

Responsible for buying supplies, equipment and services necessary to run the business. Negotiates contract when necessary. Must have purchasing experience and computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).  Must have negotiation skills and experience. Prefer 3 years purchasing experience.
Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Prefer BS in Business  Administration.

Machinist

Must have experience in multi axis (3-axis) machining centers, both vertical and horizontal. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of machine set-up and production with the ability to work from engineering/production. Must have a high school diploma/GED and 3 years experience. CNC Machinist - This position requires comprehensive knowledge of machine set-up and production with the ability to work from Engineering / Production Run-Book documentation. Able to work from MASTERCAM AND AMADA CAD Programming .$10.50 - $18.00 hr

Welder

Must have experience in TIG welding, silver soldering, heat forming and blueprint reading. Must have the ability to load up parts in jig fixtures. Prefer 10+ years experience. Must have a high school diploma/GED. $10.50 - $14.00 hr

Composites Fabricator

Manufacture aircraft composite parts. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and have good work ethics. Must have a high school diploma/GED and 3-5 years experience in the lay-up, bagging, trimming and bonding of advanced composite parts and assemblies. $10.00 - $13.00 hr

Quality Inspectors

Duties include: Quality Assurance for aircraft assemblies and sub-assemblies, conformance compliance inspections, documentation, and auditing. Must be well versed in reading blueprints. Able to use and interpret precision measuring equipment. Must have a high school diploma/GED and at least 3 years aircraft experience or 1 year as a QA inspector in the aircraft industry. $12.00 - $17.00 hr

Interior Installers

Duties include: Drawing, Cutting, Assembling Seats, Pouring Foam, Gluing Composite Parts, and Sewing. Must have high school diploma/GED and experience with basic power tools, measuring skills, and have good hand/eye coordination and be able to lift 50lbs. $9.00 - $13.00 hr

Aircraft Assembler

Duties include: installation of aircraft structural and mechanical components, riveting and sealing. Must have high school diploma/GED and at least 3 years aircraft structural and mechanical experience, including working from blueprints and drawings. $10.50 - $14.00 hr

Aircraft Mechanic

Duties include: installation of aircraft structural and mechanical components (including hoses, lines and valves), riveting, sealing, cutting, drilling, and forming. Must have high school diploma/GED and at least 3 years aircraft structural and mechanical experience, including working from blueprints and drawings. $10.00 - $17.00 hr

Avionics Installer

Duties include: Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems on Mooney M20 series aircraft. Must have high school diploma/GED and 5 years documented experience. Prefer general aviation, Mooney, Garmin, Bendix/King experience. $12.00 - $17.00 hr

Sheet Metal Fabrication

Duties include: fabrication of aircraft parts from blueprints, ability to utilize fabrication machines to cut and form metal. Must have at least 3 years aircraft structural experience, including working from blueprints and drawings. $10.50 - $13.00 hr

Electrical Assemblers

Duties include: ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, build aircraft electrical wire bundles, test wire bundles after assembly and experienced in soldering. Must have high school diploma/GED and at least 3 years experience $10.50 - $13.00 hr

Detail Metal Finisher- Detail Paint

Paints aircraft parts using spray painting equipment, power tools, and work aids: Sandblasts, cleans, sands, and applies chemical solutions to prepare and condition metal surfaces. Mixes and thins paint or other coating to specified consistency according to standard formulas. May operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment. Must have high school diploma/GED and 3 years experience $9.00 - $12.00 hr

Aircraft Painter

Responsibilities include preparation, washing, priming and painting aircraft. Requires understanding of different types of coatings and metal finishing. $11.00 - $15.00 hr.

Service Center, Aircraft Mechanic

Job Summary: Perform aircraft maintenance, alteration, rebuilding and repair. Specific jobs include annual inspections and other scheduled maintenance, wreck repair and aircraft retrofitting.
Qualifications/Experience: Must have 2 years experience with M20 Series aircraft. Prefer: More than 2 years of M20 experience but this type of experience will not beat a good attitude and the ability to communicate well. Must be able to read, write, speak and type English. Minimum computer navigation skills are required. Applicants must possess the ability to multitask and switch job duties on command.
Education: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prefer: Higher education or trade school diploma is a plus, especially if it is aviation related.
Minimum Salary: $13.00 hour.
